about me
I have been providing Russian to English translations to clients around the world for the last 14 years. I began my career in Moscow, Russia working as an in-house translator, editor and communications consultant for several public relations firms serving clients in the oil industry, among other sectors.
Before launching my career as a translator and business communicator, I studied history at Boston College and Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. I also spent a year in Smolensk, Russia on U.S. Department of State Fulbright Award.
I am a Qualified Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (MITI) in the United Kingdom, as well as a member of the American Translators Association (ATA). I am also a member of International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), where I serve on the Pacific Plains Regional Board; the Chicago Council on Global Affairs; and the Fulbright Association.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, two children and two dogs; cycling; travel; photography; and sleeping, among many other things!
